Mexican Tacos With Lean Ground Beef

Preparation Time: 10 min | Cooking Time: 20 min  |  Serves: 4 to 6

These tacos are made from lean ground beef that has been seasoned with Grill Party BBQ® Savory Taco Seasoning and shredded with fresh veggies. They’re a healthier alternative to homemade taco meat that everyone in the family will enjoy.

For a quick and flavorful meal, serve these healthy tacos with your favorite taco toppings.

STEP ONE: ORDER GRILL PARTY BBQ® SAVORY TACO SEASONING

STEP TWO: SHRED THE VEGGIES

  • Shred the carrots and zucchini with a box grater, then set the sliced veggies aside while you measure the taco seasoning.

STEP THREE: TIME TO COOK!

  • Heat olive oil in a medium-high heat pan. 
  • When the pan and oil are hot, add the ground beef and cook until it is brown.
  • Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat from the meat and return it to the skillet over low heat.
  • Mix in the taco seasoning and the shredded veggies.
  • Add some water and allow to simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until most of the water has been absorbed

STEP FOUR: SERVE IT UP!

  • Fill taco shells with meat and toppings of your choice, then serve.

  • ¾ pound Lean Ground Beef
  • Olive oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 medium shredded Carrots
  • 1 small shredded Zucchini
  • Taco Shells
  • Grill Party BBQ® Savory Taco Seasoning  
  • your favorite taco toppings (chopped green or red onion, avocados, grated cheddar cheese, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Olives, Cabbage, Beans, etc)

  • A pan
  • Box grater to shred the vegetables
