Grilled Carne Asada Steak

Preparation Time: 15 min | Cooking Time: 15 min  |  Marinating Time: 1 hr | Serves: 6

Grilled meat with a perfect sear for that signature charred flavor is the only way our Grill Party BBQ® Carna Asada seasoning can help you make the perfect steak dish! We recommend using either flank steak or skirt steak but you’re going to want to thinly slice the steak across the grain before serving for maximum tenderness.

STEP ONE: ORDER GRILL PARTY BBQ® CARNE ASADA SEASONING

STEP TWO: MARINADE YO’ MEAT

  • Combine all marinade ingredients in your glass baking dish, add raw skirt steak. Turn to coat and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (no more than 8 hours, because then the meat will start breaking down)

STEP THREE: GRILLIN’ TIME

  • Grill the steak over a medium-high flame for 7 to 10 minutes until it reaches 130 degrees F for medium rate, 10 to 12 minutes for 140 degrees F for medium.
  • Transfer steak to cutting board and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  • The secret to success when cooking the steak is to not overcook it as it will continue cooking in its own heat as you plate it 

STEP FOUR: SERVE IT UP

  • Serve steak on the cutting board with a side of chimichurri sauce.

  • 2 pounds skirt steak
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves chopped
  • juice of 1 orange
  • juice of 1 lime
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Grill Party BBQ® Carne Asada Seasoning
