Grilled Cod Fillets with Butter

Preparation Time: 10 min | Cooking Time: 10 min  |  Additional Time: 15 min | Serves: 4

This is one of those go to recipes that can be used as an entire entrée, stuffing for tacos, the protein in your salad, or even as the meat for a perfect seafood sandwich with just the right kick of flavor from the Bayou.

STEP ONE: ORDER GRILL PARTY BBQ® BAYOU BAY COOKOUT SEASONING

STEP TWO: LIGHT IT UP

  • Prepare your grill by stacking a pyramid shape of your charcoal, about 15 briquettes.
  • If you’d like, you can add a little bit of lighter fluid and let it soak in for 1 min before lighting.
  • Allow about 10 mins for the flames to reach each coal and then spread them out into the grill. Let them burn until you see white ash start to cover the coals.
  • Oil the grill grates lightly.

STEP THREE: OH MY COD!

  • Use your Grill Party BBQ® Bayou Bay Cookout Seasoning to lightly cover both sides of the fillet. DO NOT USE TOO MUCH SEASONING, it will result in a strong salty overpowering flavor.
  • Set fish on a plate to the side.
  • Use the small saucepan to heat the butter over medium, stir in the lemon juice and green onion. Cook about 3 mins until onion is softened.

STEP FOUR: BASTE FRIENDS

  • Place the cod fillets the grates and grill for about 3mins until you see a brownish color and it starts to flake easily.
  • Baste with butter frequently while grilling

STEP FIVE: SERVE IT UP

  • Take the cod fillets off the grill onto a plate and allow them to rest for about 5mins before serving.
